As many of you know, Richard and I have worked tirelessly outside this summer already. We have added a garden area and had our fencing all painted white. We have also upgraded the area around the pool with stamped concrete, new walkways, and a new pergola. The new pergola, Richard DIY’d himself and I couldn’t be more proud. With this new shaded space, came the need for a new lounging area. With the help of Walmart, I added some wonderful home accents to make this pergola poolside summer refresh come to life. Walmart constantly surprises me with their new home decor and designs. They have fresh, in style, and affordable items that are equally if not better than other local retailers. We are huge Walmart fans in this house for clothing, home decor, and more. Let’s take a look at what I got for this refresh.
After we had the cedar pergola painted white to match the surround white fence and she shed, I knew I wanted to add pops of color to make it stand out for summer. I choose the color yellow and black and white for this refresh. Nothing like the pop of yellow to make you think about summer sun, citrus drinks, and beach umbrellas. Click here for quick links.
Let’s take a look at what I added to make this space pop. I first found these wonderful towels by Better Homes and Gardens. I have never owned such a large, high absorbent beach towel. I love the pops of color and the reversible sides. My kids will defiantly be fighting over these.
Pillows. There is also something about pillows that most women are just drawn to! Am I right? They change up a space for such an affordable price. I choose these two solid Better Homes and Gardens outdoor pillows to add that pop of yellow to the couches, and this lumbar accent pillow to add just enough charm in the middle of the couch. I also picked up a few striped $5 outdoor pillows which come in MULTIPLE colors and patterns for my lounging chairs too! Check those out here.

Also, check out this fun candle by the Pioneer Woman too for those late night chats, and to add fabulous to those wonderful summer drinks with mint and lemon, I purchased these new sets of these fun striped white glass tumblers. I love how they add fun to this space. Truthfully we look forward to our mint growing each summer to add to our lemon waters and speciality drinks. And lastly, if you are looking to entertain this summer a glass pitcher is a must. To set out with drinks automatically makes you like like a fancy hostess 🙂 and for this price you can’t beat it. Hey, there is nothing I love more than home. I love sharing it with you all and teaching you the intentionality we all should create within it.
