Christmas Home Tour

Merry almost Christmas! I thought I would just share a few images of our home for the holidays. I can’t believe Christmas is so close and then it will all be taken down and loaded back into the attic. Oh, the job that will be. That is why I decorate at least a month in advance. It’s hard work putting it up and we like to enjoy it for as long as possible. I will be leaving This year flew by at moments and drug at others. I am looking forward to a fresh new year. I’d personally like to thank each of you for following along on my journey and for taking the time to stop by here on the blog. I hope you all have blessed and Merry Christmas.

This year I doubled up on my garland. I had a pair from Hobby Lobby last year and then found a beautiful pair at Joann this year. I also added a few Christmas scenes to my shelves this year to change it up a bit. Most of my items came from TJMaxx.

The red wood bead garland I purchased at a local vintage sale but the wooden ones came from Hobby Lobby for around $7.00! The red boxwood wreath was sent to me by Olive Branch Home. Check out their site here for other beautiful wreaths and garlands. Their quality is impeccable. Their green boxwood wreath is also available on Amazon right now for under $30. Click here.

I am giggling to myself because I have since moved the bakers rack you see in the back to where these chairs now sit. It was my newest find at the Vintage Market Days in Nashville. I’m still trying to figure out how I like to decorate the house. This is our second Christmas here but I have a feeling my taste will change and things will always be different.

Here’s everyone’s favorite hutch that I scored for $300 at a local antique store adorned with Christmas garland and a few twinkle lights. I added just a few simple holiday berries and a few white houses inside.

This mantle is in my top 5 finds. It was two pieces and came out of a local Nashville home from the late 1800s. We painted it and had it added to the master before we moved in. She’s all decked out for Christmas with simple burlap stocking from years past and a few pops of red. I also love these small flocked trees from Walmart. They are great to stick in baskets and scatter around the house.

The crowning achievement, our new Christmas tree. This 10-foot pre-lit flocked tree by King of Christmas is definitely the most beautiful quality tree I have ever come across. There was no shedding and the branches and limbs are so soft. I added all of my previous neutral ornaments and differing ribbon along with my Target Dollar spot canvas book hymnal garland. I tend to like my tree to either be weighted with ornaments or so simple it looks just like it came from the forest. This year I wanted it to full. I added a few faux wrapped presents and my vintage sleds around its skirt.

As much as I love seeing the twinkle lights, I will be glad to have the “clutter” put away. I know, it is kind of sad, but I really like cleaning up after the holidays too.  Fresh clean start. New goals. New hopes. I hope this seasons you find yourself loved and full of heart.

Merry Christmas to you and yours!
