If I ignore the problem it’ll go away! I am too old to start a new career! I don’t have a choice! Have you found yourself thinking of any of these? When you decide to believe these lies, what does it actually tell you about yourself and where is it coming from? It’s easy to believe these lies but in the long run, it doesn’t serve you at all, no matter how hard you try to convince yourself otherwise
In today’s episode, I share the six lies we tell ourselves and how to get over them. Whether it’s convincing yourself you’re not good enough, brave enough or pretty enough or asking yourself why some people have the things you want but you don’t have, we are often coming back to a negative mindset and living in those comparison traps. These lies aren’t helpful and I share why it’s important to take small steps to remove these limiting beliefs out of your life.
In this episode, we cover:
- Lie #1: I am not enough [2:19]
- Lie #2: How come someone has something I don’t have? [4:13]
- Lie #3: If I ignore the issue it’ll go away [5:57]
- Lie #4: I am too young or too old for this [9:14]
- Lie #5: I do not have a choice [12:14]
- Lie # 6: I am just not the *blank* type of person [14:48]
- What can you do to undo these lies and reframe your mindset [18:36]
