Fall is here and so is the time of the year we are yearn for. This year I want to do something different with colours. And to my surprise I found the colour I was looking for “Evergreen Fog” yes this amazing evergreen calm green tone is the best one. The Sherwin-Williams Color of the Year for 2022 is finally here, and once you see how versatile it is, you’ll want to remodel your entire place. This gray-green shade, known as Evergreen Fog, is “a sophisticated wash of color for rooms that seek a subtle yet striking statement shade,” according to Sue Wadden, the director of color marketing at Sherwin-Williams. “Evergreen Fog motivates us to start over and is an excellent choice for modern interiors and exteriors.”

Evergreen Fog is a member of the Process palette, which was introduced last month as part of the brand’s 2022 Colormix Forecast. It fits into a larger conversation about organic modernity that began with Frank Lloyd Wright, lasted through the postwar period, and continues today. Wadden sees this grayish-green as having a certain melancholy that can be traced back to “midcentury style ephemera,” with daring ’70s interiors as a frame of comparison.

Green is symbolic of newness as we burst into whatever this new area is. So, let’s take this fall an opportunity so restart and grow. That newness entails reconsidering the appearance and feel of business places. With mindfulness and wellbeing becoming more important in interior design, Evergreen Fog is ideally positioned to promote places where people will want to spend their time. Be it in a hospital setting or a workplace, if you can incorporate natural features, such as plants, green space, or the color green, it will yield positive results.

Evergreen Fog, a mid-tone gray-green, provides depth and intrigue to a space while engulfing it in a calming color inspired from nature.
